Gridiron Girl Release - One Month Later!

How has one month passed since Gridiron Girl released on March 3?

To recap, Mystery Lovers Bookshop hosted me for a launch party at their store in Oakmont. I packed up my footballs, bookmarks, stickers, and family (all wearing Gridiron Girl shirts!), and headed for the celebration.

I was touched by the number of friends and family who attended! And even the journalism students from my alma mater joined us to film my talk and plan an article for my high school newspaper.

I had the pleasure of talking about the strong female characters in my sports series, especially Julia Medina, the protagonist of Gridiron Girl. She chooses herself in a world that discourages young women from doing exactly that, and I'm so proud of her for doing it!

The store SOLD OUT of copies of the book! Luckily, I had a stash in my car. I signed a huge stack of copies and felt so blessed to do so!

We followed that event up with a coffee and tea at 1833 Coffee & Tea in Freeport. The coffee shop is adorable with such amazing light for sneaking away to work. I totally recommend it. The staff are friendly. The pastries are incredible. And the drinks are perfect. My drink of choice is hot chocolate!

I have several more events coming up in the future to celebrate Gridiron Girl and to connect with readers, so keep an eye on the Events page of my website.

Also, subscribe to my blog for more behind-the-scenes tidbits and updates on my journey. I have something super secretive cooking up for you, so you don't want to miss it!

Thank you to Kehley Shank for

the amazing photos of my launch party. Leaving you with a few of my favorites below!

Oh, and if you do read Gridiron Girl, please consider leaving a review on Amazon or Goodreads! It's such a boost and a super kind thing to do. Thank you! :)
